Cherry Rootstock Size Chart

*Please note: All tree heights in our chart are for mature tree size and are given as a guide only. The eventual size of your grafted tree will be influenced by a number of factors, including: soil type and fertility, local climate conditions, and the vigour of the scion wood cultivar.

Cherry Grafting & Liner Grade

Cherry Rootstock is available in two grades:

Grafting Grade

Ready for immediate grafting this winter

Liner Grade

Ready for plant out and grow on for budding in late summer or grafting the following winter

Cherry Rootstock Stallion

Cherry stallion is semi-dwarfing rootstock, with the tree reaching 80-90% of the seedling tree height.

A semi-dwarfing rootstock that produces large crops of fruit. Stallion adapts to a wide variety of soils and conditions. It does not tolerate water logging. It is suitable for general fruit and ornamental use and has good compatibility with most sweet cherry varieties.
